# About gate.Crash
Dedicated to bringing people and projects closer together, gate.Crash is a three-day hackathon in Atlanta, Georgia that runs from March 20, 2025 through March 23, 2025.
## Board members
As a registered non-profit organization, gate.Crash is run entirely by volunteers!
Emily Thomas, Operations Coordinator
Coming from a family of technologists, Emily grew up around technology and has worked in technology since college – where she worked as a student assistant systems administrator – and all the way now until working in quality, and was talking about daemons as early as third grade (true story!). She has a history in event planning, having run or worked for conventions since high school, taking joy in bringing people together for niche interests. In her spare time, she gardens and voices any nearby animal.
Mark Dalrymple, Attendee Coordinator
Mark is a long-time Unix and Mac developer, having worked at AOL, Google, and several start-ups over the years. He’s the author of Advanced Mac OS X Programming: The Big Nerd Ranch Guide, over 100 blog posts for Big Nerd Ranch, and an occasional speaker at conferences. Believing in the power of community, he’s a co-founder of CocoaHeads, an international Mac and iPhone meetup, and runs the Pittsburgh PA chapter. In his spare time, he plays orchestral and swing band music.

Steve Sparks, Social Coordinator
Steve is obsessive about making things, and the best-paying thing he knows how to make is software. Involved in every Clash since the first one, he’s got five podium visits and one rock concert under his belt. Here is his cat Smokey offering his belly, but be warned, it’s all WICKED, TRICKSY, and FALSE!

Jenna Inouye, Outreach Coordinator
Jenna began programming at the age of 12, building bulletin board systems with CGI/Perl. Since then, she has been a back-end developer, full stack developer, AI specialist, and general technologist. Jenna's career has included working in developer relations, technical marketing, editing, writing, and strategy, at companies ranging from Big Nerd Ranch to Google. Presently, Jenna works at Google as the technical editor of ChromeOS.dev.
