Build your project - with Raspberry Pi
For your gate.Crash project, your team will be supplied with a Raspberry Pi kit. While you don't strictly need to use the Raspberry Pi, use is encouraged.
The time to start brainstorming is now! Here are some examples of fun, easy Raspberry Pi projects:
- Home Automation System: Control lights, fans, and appliances using Raspberry Pi.
- Media Center: Set up a media server using Plex on Raspberry Pi to stream movies, TV shows, and music.
- Retro Gaming Console: Create a retro gaming console using RetroPie, turning your Raspberry Pi into a hub for classic games from consoles like NES, SNES, and PlayStation.
- Weather Station: Build a "weather station" with sensors to measure temperature, humidity, and air pressure, and display data on a connected LCD or send it to an online dashboard.
- AI-Powered Voice Assistant: Create a custom voice assistant using Google Assistant SDK or Amazon Alexa, allowing voice commands to control smart devices or perform tasks.
- Pi-Hole: Set up a Raspberry Pi as a network-wide ad blocker using Pi-Hole, reducing unwanted ads and improving network privacy.
